Joanna is a Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine – an acupuncturist and a Chinese herbal medicine practitioner.
“Chinese medicine is something I’m intensely passionate about. I’ve seen this system of medicine do amazing things for people, and I’m always excited to share it with anyone willing to give it a try to see what it can do for them. In TCM we are always looking for the root of the problem, any symptoms you’re experiencing – the headaches, eczema, PMS, insomnia, whatever it is – are just the signposts that lead us to what is really going on inside the body. My goal is to help people understand, from a Chinese medicine perspective, what’s going on, so they can take steps to bring about positive and lasting changes to their health and wellbeing.
I’m particularly interested in working with people experiencing skin problems (like acne, eczema and psoriasis), and women’s health (especially recurrent UTIs, hormonal migraines, PMS, irregular or painful periods, pregnancy support, and menopause).”
Joanna completed her Bachelor of Health Science (Chinese Medicine) and Diploma of An Mo Tuina (Chinese Medicine Remedial Massage) at the Southern School of Natural Therapies in Melbourne. She is a Mother to two young girls, and loves good coffee, good food, and hula hoop dancing.
